Oh, Tannenbaum

The Christmas season started about a month ago, at least that’s when the first Christmas goodies appeared in the supermarket. But now it’s official – the 2,500 lights on the Christmas tree in front of the townhall were lit for the first time yesterday. It’s not a Tannenbaum (fir tree), though, it’s a spruce. The tree is approximately 30 meters high (almost 100 ft.) and is 120 years old.
