Nomen Est Omen

Ten Ten Ten

Today’s date must be a lucky number. Whether you write it the American way: October 10, ’10; or the German way: 10. Oktober ’10; or the Chinese way: year ’10, month 10, day 10, it comes out the same (except it is now already the 11th in China).

It was a superb Sunday and warmer than many a summer day. Unlike summer, it wasn’t a mellow sunny day, but rather a sunny day spiced with a fresh wind, golden leaves and pumpkins on the roadside. We rode our bikes out of Munich to the southwest following the Würm River to Gräfelfing, an easy route that is almot entirely on bike paths in parks. It was even warm enough to eat outside.
